CONGRATULATIONS, RUSSELL!: Jason Ulep, left, and Laka, right, congratulated Russell Tanoue as his "Sin City - Rum Jungle" Piranha Room party was getting started at the Ocean Club on Saturday. No formal announcement was made but Tanoue confirmed that the Ocean Club was celebrating two years of his Piranha Room parties and thanked the club for making them a success.
DANCE WHERE YOU'RE AT!: The club was so packed that Junior Mika and his girlfriend, Sharon Sanchez, danced in the VIP section. They weren't the only ones. Piranha Room regular Jane Loo drew a circle of male admirers as she danced nearby.
HE'S LANCE RAE!: Lance Rae was all smiles as Juliet Lighter autographed a copy of IN Magazine for Piranha Room VIP Andrea Dailey. Known in local theater circles as a Po'okela Award-caliber actor, Rae is stepping out as the high-profile Editor-in-Chief of IN, a new glossy magazine targeted on local singles who have lots of money to spend. Lighter is the cover girl of the premiere issue.
