Quitting smoking is a tough job.
It's been since Sept. 17, 2005. Since then I find taking deep
breaths helps. I think sometimes we forget to breathe!
If you are thinking about quitting,
everyone is different but for me I had to go cold turkey. It
wasn't easy but I did it by keeping my mind busy and constantly
drinking water and eating carrot sticks. Whenever I needed or
thought of smoking I would slap my thighs to change my thought.
Don't go beating yourself up, be gentle but know that nicotine is
evil and it wants to take the best of you. |

BOOKS

Just
completed reading "Tuesdays with Morrie" by Mitch Albom.
I highly recommend this book to everyone! As Morrie says, "when
you learn how to die, you learn how to really live." Our
culture does not encourage peace. To love and not be afraid to take
in love. He adds, "we are like sleep walking, on
automatic. WE are not living." A must read! "A Bend in the Road" by Nicholas Sparks who I
feel is a wonderful writer. This book is on the best seller
list. He is also the author of "A Walk to Remember" and
the "Notebook" Another book that I loved is Deepak Chopra's "Seven
Spiritual Laws of Success" I recommend this book as it lifts, and
nurtures ones mind and spirit. The Bible is the number one
book. A Million Pieces is still sitting waiting
to be read. The Alhemist by Paulo Coelho,
The Little Prince also great books. |
|
|
MOVIES
"Last Samurai", "Hitch", "A
Walk to Remember", "Pay It Foward", "Anna and
the King", "The Color, Purple", and the list goes on.ve
to rent this movie. Mandy Moore did an awesome job!
