I have been meani`ng to send you a note for about three or four years and I finally got around to it this evening.
At one time, I headed Reed Kaina Schaller Advertising and from time to time models visited us with a portfolio mainly composed of photographs you had taken. They were always impressive and showed the girls to their best. And, more importantly, we used several of the girls in advertising for clients the agency handled at that time.
I had always wanted to congratulate you on the job you had done, but just never got around to it.
Tonight as I was looking over the latest issue of MidWeek and noticed your page, I decided that the time for procrastination was over.
All I wanted to do was say thank you for taking the time to help these young models (both men and women) find themselves and present themselves in a unique, contemporary and professional way.

This is Sabrina
Banta's mom saying a quick "aloha" and to update you on Sabrina
since we last saw you at the photo shoot last year. Sabrina was
signed up with Premier Models by Doug Lange in Jan ( he called as
soon as I emailed him your photos of Sabrina and said that she
photographs really well) and today has completed her first job as an
extra for a new movie called "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and also a
cover for the Ward Magazine coming out in July. Thanks to your
beautiful photos she is getting jobs so we thank you very much! She
loves modeling especially for print work and now that she has worked
in a movie she seems to be warming up to be an actress too.

I just returned last night from Washington, DC, where I
joined 10,000 "Ambassadors" and supporters for the American Cancer Society's "Celebration on the Hill" national event. We ask our members of Congress to continue to fund cancer research and treatment. We also told them that if we could stop tobacco use, we'd could avoid 35% of the cancers that are related to smoking. So, this morning as I was reading the Sept. 22 issue of MidWeek, I was delighted to read Russell's story in Yu Shing's column "on The Move" on page 30. The most effective messages come from those who "walk the talk". I know your story will influence others to follow your example. So, Mahalo to you both for contributing to our mutual cause--to avoid the illnesses and death that are caused by smoking and tobacco use. I'm always so touched by your different projects. You are definitely one of God's angels. Tears came to my eyes when I read the e-mail you sent me regarding, "Angels On the Rocks", because you know how hard it was for me when I lost my grammy, and till this day it is a constant struggle. i know you have probably heard this a millions times on how great
your work is. i think i have even convey to you how i love your
work. i recently just started looking deeper into your site, not the
My space one but your original site. and always wonder what was the
reason behind the piranha room. and after reading your purpose i have
to say that i started crying knowing how much our family have lost
love to cancer and sudden death over the last year, and yet started
laughing and started smiling because the way you talk about death and
how it seems so comforting. i have to admit that death is my
biggest fear. but after reading your thoughts and feelings about it,
it some what brought some comfort with in me, Russell i know that i
have only known you and your work for a short time. and wanna thank
God for guiding me and my sister to you i dont meet a lot of people
with so much conviction and compassion in their hearts, and IM glad to
say and thankful that i got to meet you. after surfing your page for
and hour and half making sure i didn't miss one story especially the
one with your friend in Vegas. i was litterly balling in tears. its
like watching a movie in my mind. Russell thank you for being the
