Hawaii

Past on in February 2004

Dave Donnelly has been writing on happenings
in Hawaii for the Star-Bulletin since 1968

"He wrote a three-dot column for more than 35 years of chronicling all those little moments-amusing, ironic, gossipy-that gave life in Honolulu its texture.  With his passing, we're unlikely ever to have a daily three-dot again.  Our civic life is poorer for that." John Heckathorn Honolulu Magazine

Thank you Dave!

Dave Donnelly has shared my activities with the people of Hawaii for more than a decade.  He has always shared his enthusiasm for what I would say, "tough job" shooting beautiful people.  I remember in one article he wrote, stating that I have a tough job that is beautiful.  His art in writing always impressed me.

I have so much respect for writers such as Dave who really, deliver a story in some 100 words or less and create a statement and make an impact.

He was always fond of all my bikini and female model shots and I could actually feel him laughing through his writing.  Although I almost met the man behind the words, his energy exudes throughout his writings.

So thank you Dave, you have made my many chapters in the past decade a book of pure enjoyment.  Russell Tanoue
