Love Is....

In today's society the words "I love you" are used in such a material way.  I think somewhere along the line, it got mixed up.   I often hear those words because of what I do or give to a person.  But I'll get the "I love yous" without the actions.  I think most people would much prefer the action vs just the words.  Agree?  In other words show up with flowers and just stand there.  Ha, ha.  No really, it says more than words alone.

Sometimes people say I love you because they love all you do for them.  But when really, if they really loved you, they'd do the same for you.  I think the biggest flattery of love is when one does amazing things for you without telling you.  Or, standing up for you when you're not there to defend yourself.

I remember once I was sitting at the Rivera Hotel in Las Vegas to watch my friends show SPLASH.  They were doing a segment on all Michael Jackson songs.  While sitting there, they rolled out a red brick wall and the dancers were spraying graffiti on it and suddenly the words, "love you Russ" was sprayed on.  I was shocked.  It is those moments that always capture you.

Love is not just a word but an action.  Love is....unseen.
